About Thermaglo

Why We Started

It started with a nurse.

She'd been on the wards for twenty-odd years, and by the end of a long shift her hands were done — stiff, swollen, aching from hours of lifting, turning, charting, and repeating the same movements a hundred times over. She'd sit in the car park before driving home, flexing her fingers and waiting for them to loosen up. Some nights they didn't.

She tried heat packs that went cold in ten minutes, stress balls that did nothing, and a drawer full of braces she never wore because they were uncomfortable.

The more we looked, the more we noticed the same story everywhere. Office workers with tingling fingers by 3pm. Retirees whose arthritis had crept into their knuckles. Tradies who could still lift a beam but couldn't open a jar. Hands do an enormous amount of work, and most of us only think about them once they start complaining.

There wasn't much out there that was actually designed for hands — properly designed, with the palm, fingers, and wrist all considered. So we set out to make something that was.

Our Story

Thermaglo began in Australia around a kitchen table, not in a boardroom. We're a small team, and in the early days that meant a lot of trial and error: prototypes that were too bulky, heat that didn't distribute evenly, compression that felt more like a squeeze than a massage.

We tested on real hands — our own, our families', and a patient group of volunteers who gave us honest feedback and told us when something wasn't working. That feedback shaped the product more than any spec sheet did.

What makes us different from a generic online store is simple: we only sell one thing, and we know it inside out. We're not drop-shipping a dozen unrelated gadgets and hoping something sticks. If you email us with a question about wrist positioning or heat settings, you'll get an answer from someone who has personally worn the glove.

Our Mission

We're here for people whose hands work hard.

That includes office workers dealing with the strain of long hours at a keyboard, people aged 40 to 70 living with arthritis or carpal tunnel, athletes recovering from repetitive load, and tradespeople who rely on their grip every single day.

Our aim isn't to cure anything or replace your doctor — we'd never claim that. What we want is to give you a comfortable, easy way to look after your hands at the end of the day. Twenty minutes in a chair that leaves your hands feeling looser, warmer, and less tight than they were before. That's the goal, and we think it's a worthwhile one.

Our Promise to You

On the product. We build the glove to last and we don't cut corners on the parts you can't see — the heating elements, the air bladders, the stitching. If something fails, we want to know about it, because that's how we make the next version better.

On support. You'll be talking to a real person, usually within a business day. No scripts, no runaround. If the glove isn't right for you, we'd rather sort it out quickly and fairly than argue over a return.

On honesty. We won't tell you this device will fix your arthritis or make carpal tunnel disappear. It's a massage tool designed for comfort and relief, and we'll always describe it that way. If you have a medical condition, please talk to your GP or physio before adding anything new to your routine — we're happy to answer questions about how the device works so you can have that conversation properly informed.

On doing things properly. Clear pricing, no pressure, no manufactured urgency. We'd rather you buy from us once and trust us, than buy from us once and feel rushed into it.

Thanks for taking the time to read about us. If you have a question before you buy, just ask — we're genuinely happy to help.
